Meridian Wine Distribution is seeking a Driver to join our team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role forms an important part of our distribution operations, contributing to the smooth movement of goods and the overall efficiency of the business. Key Responsibilities

• Vehicles are operated safely and in compliance with traffic and safety regulations.

• Deliveries are completed correctly according to delivery schedules.

• Deliveries are completed within required timeframes.

• Delivery vehicles are maintained in safe and operational condition.

• Customers receive professional and courteous service.

• Delivery activities comply with company procedures and safety standards.

• Deliver stock to customers according to delivery schedules and instructions.

• Engage with customers in a professional and respectful manner.

• Confirm delivery details and documentation with customers.

• Report customer concerns or delivery issues to the supervisor.

• Operate vehicles responsibly to prevent damage or loss.

• Protect company stock during transportation.

• Report damaged stock or equipment immediately.

• Contribute to efficient use of fuel and delivery resources.

• Drive vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with traffic regulations.

• Follow approved delivery routes and schedules.

• Complete deliveries accurately and on time.

• Ensure delivery documentation is completed correctly.

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before departure.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness.

• Report vehicle faults or safety concerns immediately.

• Ensure vehicles are used responsibly and safely.

• Verify stock quantities before departure.

• Ensure stock is loaded and secured correctly.

• Record deliveries and collections accurately.

• Report stock discrepancies or damages promptly.

• Comply with road safety and company transport procedures.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Report incidents, accidents, or near misses immediately.

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

• Participate in required training and development activities.

• Maintain knowledge of delivery procedures and safety practices.

• Support team members during delivery operations.

• Demonstrate safe and responsible work practices.

• Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12.

• 1–5 years’ delivery experience in a distribution or FMCG environment.

• Valid Code 10 or 14 driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)

• Ability to work flexible hours and in varying weather conditions

• Medically fit to perform driving duties

• Valid right to work in South Africa
