About the Role Join Cemex as a Ready-Mix Driver in Huntsville, AL. The primary responsibility is to safely operate the concrete mixer and deliver loads to commercial and residential sites, navigating varied conditions and maintaining a professional image and vehicle readiness.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
- Adapt discharge methods to different site settings and conditions.
- Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise concrete pouring.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional image for Cemex.
- Work closely with dispatch and other team members to ensure efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B); High School diploma preferred.
- Must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction and transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep is desirable.
