About the Role The Ready-Mix Driver will safely operate Cemex’s concrete mixer and deliver loads to commercial and residential sites. This role may involve navigating varied environments, including uneven terrain, and handling extension chutes weighing 30-50 pounds to ensure precise pours.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate the ready-mix truck and deliver loads on time
- Adhere to safety regulations and promote a safe work environment
- Adapt discharge methods to different site settings and conditions
- Attach and manage extension chutes as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the truck
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional company image
- Coordinate with dispatch and team members for efficient operations
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A or B license; high school diploma preferred
- Eligibility to be not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Acceptable CSA and MVR; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Strong safety knowledge related to construction and transportation
- Good communication skills and ability to follow supervisor guidance
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance (desirable)
