About the Role Join Cemex as a Ready-Mix Driver responsible for safely operating the concrete mixer and delivering loads to commercial and residential job sites. The role involves navigating varying site conditions, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the truck while representing the company professionally.
What You'll Do
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Delivery & Timing: Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
- Discharge Management: Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
- Extension Chute Handling: Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise concrete pouring.
- Truck Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding service, maintaining a professional image for the company.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A or B license; High School diploma preferred.
- Qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- CSA and MVR acceptable; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the construction and transportation industry.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions and guidance from supervisors.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent walking, sitting, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable).
