About the Role We’re looking for a responsible and skilled Ready-Mix Driver to join our team. The Ready-Mix Truck Driver's primary responsibility is to safely operate the concrete mixer, delivering loads to commercial and residential work sites. This role requires navigating a range of conditions, including uneven terrain, and may involve handling and attaching extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate the concrete mixer and deliver loads to commercial and residential job sites.
- Adhere to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
- Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
- Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise pouring.
- Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional company image.
- Coordinate with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A or B license; High School diploma preferred; eligible to qualify in FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction and transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable).
- Working knowledge of site conditions and ability to work in outdoor industrial settings.
