About the Role The Ready-Mix Driver safely operates the concrete mixer and delivers loads to commercial and residential job sites. This role involves navigating diverse site conditions and may require handling extension chutes weighing 30 to 50 pounds. Safety and reliability are essential to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
- Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
- Attach and manage extension chutes as needed for precise pouring.
- Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional image.
- Work closely with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B); High School diploma preferred.
- Must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Acceptable CSA and MVR; no DUI/DWI in last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in construction and transportation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow supervisor guidance.
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic truck maintenance (desirable).
