About the Role The Ready-Mix Driver will operate the concrete mixer, delivering loads to commercial and residential job sites. The role requires safe operation under varying conditions and may involve handling extension chutes. You’ll work closely with dispatch to maintain timely deliveries and uphold Cemex safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements to promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
- Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
- Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise pouring.
- Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional image.
- Coordinate with dispatch and team members to ensure efficient operations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL A or B; High School diploma preferred; ability to qualify in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years; no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction and transportation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions and guidance from supervisors.
- Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable).
- Ability to work in dynamic outdoor industrial environments; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
