About the Role Performs the operation of a CARTS agency transit vehicle to ensure safe transport of passengers to a variety of destinations. This part-time, onsite role drives a scheduled route and focuses on transporting passengers to medical facilities and other locations within the designated service area. What You'll Do
- Drive CARTS agency transit vehicle over a scheduled route to transport passengers to various locations within the designated service area.
- Assist passengers, including wheelchair securement and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain vehicle and use tools such as GPS and two-way radio to coordinate routes. What We're Looking For
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Minimum five years driving experience
- No points on driving record in past 3 years
- Background check and drug/alcohol testing
- Ability to assist passengers including wheelchair securement and lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience with GPS and two-way radios (preferred) Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 15/hr (hourly)
