Job title: Driver: Forklift & High Reach M/F
About the Role Join CFAO Mobility as Driver: Forklift & High Reach in Durban to support TSAM & TTAF by receiving, unpacking and preparing components, feeding the assembly line, and storing and picking finished goods to meet Milk-run collection and operational requirements with quality and timeliness. This role involves ensuring accurate stock control and adherence to safety and process standards within the Steering Rack Assembly team.
What You'll Do
- Receive, unpack, prepare, feed the assembly line, and store/pick finished goods to meet despatch requirements
- Complete daily machine checklist and report defects
- Conduct daily battery checks and maintenance if required
- Maintain and control stock; ensure accuracy of stock received, put away, and despatched
- Handle pallets and modules safely; adhere to stacking requirements
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety/ISO standards
- Willing to work overtime to meet customer demand and ensure satisfaction
- Conduct daily bin audits with strict FIFO adherence
- Assist with stock takes and participate in regular stock counts
- Conduct daily housekeeping and participate in Kaizen; report near misses
- Report any defects or irregularities to uphold safety and quality
- Additional tasks as needed; daily duties are not limited to listed items
What We're Looking For
- Matric with numeracy and literacy
- Valid Forklift and Reach Truck licences
- Minimum 2 years driving experience on both machines
- Visual inspection and defect confirmation ability
- Knowledge of Safety and ISO standards
- SAP system and scanner knowledge
- FIFO principles
- Material handling experience
- Kanban knowledge (advantageous)
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, and customer-centric mindset
- Detail-oriented, resilient, adaptable, and results-driven
