Driver - Cylinder

About the Role Join Linde as a Driver - Cylinder in Billerica, MA, delivering and handling cylinders and providing high standards of customer service. About 30% of the day is spent driving, with the rest on delivery, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, inspections, and customer interactions. You will also complete hazardous material paperwork, placard the vehicle in accordance with regulations, and ensure compliance with DOT/TC regulations and Linde safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Provide high-standard customer service while delivering cylinders, unloading/loading as needed, and returning empties to the vehicle.
• Drive approximately 30% of the day; rest of day on delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, and inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles; complete Hazardous Material shipping papers per DOT/TC; placard vehicle according to regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs; follow plant guidelines for medical and industrial gas cylinders.
• Load/unload weekly shuttle; operate forklift and other plant vehicles; prepare warehouse transfer orders and update inventory in computer; maintain quality control documentation.
• Ensure proper quantities, styles and products are filled and documented to justify stock inventory.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of driving experience or completion of a truck driver training program with equipment similar to Linde's.
• Clean driving record: no preventable accidents, license suspensions or moving violations in the past 2 years; no alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.
• Current DOT medical examiner's certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire.
• 21 years or older; ability to read and write English.
• More than two years of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment preferred.

Nice to Have

• Additional plant/manufacturing experience preferred.
