Job title: Driver - Bulk
About the Role The Truck Driver provides a high standard of Customer Service while delivering shuttles to store locations. Driving represents approximately 90% of the day, with the remainder spent on deliveries, shipping paperwork, customer contact, and vehicle inspections.
What You'll Do
- Drive shuttles to store locations; driving accounts for about 90% of daily activities.
- Perform deliveries, shipping orders and paperwork, and maintain customer contact.
- Complete Hazardous Material shipping papers in accordance with DOT/TC regulations; placard vehicle per hazmat regulations and LINDE standards.
- Use handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance tasks (Hazmat prep, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, trip reports, etc.).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects; identify and coordinate maintenance to minimize disruption.
- Operate a variety of equipment and interface with internal and external customers.
What We're Looking For
- Two (2) years of driving experience or completion of a truck driver training program with equipment similar to Linde's.
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or other moving violations in the past two (2) years.
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years.
- A current medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Valid Class A CDL; current HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain HazMat within 60 days of hire.
- Read/write in English; High School diploma or GED required.
