About the Role Responsible for the design of drilling mud and completion fluids for oil and gas operations. This role designs, tests, and maintains drilling fluid systems on an oil or gas rig to ensure wellbore stability, control downhole pressures, and safe drilling. What You'll Do
- Designs, tests, and maintains drilling and completion fluid systems on an oil or gas rig.
- Monitor mud weight, viscosity, and chemical properties to prevent wellbore instability and ensure safe drilling.
- Conduct daily fluid checks for density, viscosity, gel strengths, salinity, and solids control to keep mud properties within the target drilling window.
- Adjust mud parameters to maintain Equivalent Circulating Density (ECD) and prevent kicks or lost circulation.
- Prepare daily mud reports and comprehensive end-of-well summaries.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental and safety regulations regarding chemical handling and waste management. What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of fluid engineering experience.
- IWCF L3/4 certification.
- BOSIET/HUET; H2S.
- Experience designing drilling mud and completion fluids; strong understanding of mud weight, ECD, and downhole pressures.
