About this role
As our Draughtsperson, you'll go out to sites, capture exactly what's there, and turn it into precise digital models that drive the design and documentation of Hungry Lion restaurants. Your accuracy on site is what makes everything that follows possible. This isn't a desk job. You'll spend a lot of time travelling, both locally and nationally, and much of your best work starts on site with a tape measure, not a screen. Small measurement errors turn into big problems on a build, so getting the detail right every time is the standard. If you enjoy being on the road and take real pride in getting the numbers exactly right, you'll fit in well here.
WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE
On site
- Visit restaurant sites locally and across the country to take measurements, levels and layout information.
- Capture the physical reality of each space accurately, so nothing gets missed once you're back at your desk.
In Revit
- Turn your site data into precise digital models, using Revit as your main design tool.
- Produce the drawings and documentation that support the design of our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) projects.
With the team
- Work closely with the design team, sharing what you found on site clearly so decisions are made on real information.
- Apply your understanding of MEP systems so layouts work for a restaurant fit-out, not just on paper.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (mandatory), with hands-on experience using it as your primary design tool.
- Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture or related field.
- Experience taking site measurements, levels and layout information.
- Experience turning physical site data into accurate digital models.
- Willingness to travel frequently, locally and nationally.
- VAlid driver's licence.
- A background in surveying or site measurement.
- A basic understanding of MEP systems as they relate to restaurant fit-outs (advantage).
