Job title: DPT Program Faculty
About the Role Gannon University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the Erie, PA campus, beginning July 1, 2026. The appointment can be on a teaching or tenure track, with initial rank determined at hire. The role emphasizes student-centered learning, scholarly engagement within the Boyer Model, and service to students, the university, and the community within a CAPTE-accredited DPT program with longstanding clinical partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Deliver professional education in a problem-based, system-based DPT curriculum and advise students.
- Engage in scholarly activities aligned with the Boyer Model of Scholarship and contribute to teaching and learning through interactive methods.
- Participate in university and community service, and collaborate with other health professions within the college.
- Contribute to a DPT program that includes advanced technology for gait analysis, balance rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging, and support interprofessional collaboration and student-managed pro-bono clinics.
- Support clinical education activities, including involvement in clinical instruction or serving as a site coordinator, according to content expertise and program needs.
What We're Looking For
- Post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DHS, DSc, etc., or ABD) or in progress with a defined completion date; content area will inform teaching load.
- Greater than three years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist.
- Three years of clinical teaching experience as a clinical instructor and/or experience as a site coordinator of clinical education.
- Eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure as a Physical Therapist.
