Job title: Dosimetrist
About the Role Under the supervision of the Chief Dosimetrist and the Clinical Chief of Physics, the Dosimetrist designs external beam treatment plans for patient treatments using a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and QA verifications, with quarterly rotations to Mt Zion, Parnassus, and Mission Bay. The Dosimetrist accepts assignments from the Chief Dosimetrist and carries out steps and handles problems in accordance with instructions, policies, training, or accepted published practices.
What You'll Do
- Design external beam treatment plans for patient treatments using a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and QA verifications.
- Accept assignments from the Chief Dosimetrist, plan and carry out the successive steps, and address problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted published practices.
- Rotate quarterly to all radiation oncology sites (Mt Zion, Parnassus, Mission Bay).
What We're Looking For
- Ability to design external beam treatment plans using a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and QA verifications.
- Capacity to follow instructions, policies, training, or accepted published practices as set by the Chief Dosimetrist and Clinical Faculty.
- Willingness to rotate quarterly to Mt Zion, Parnassus, and Mission Bay.
