Job title: Donor / Benefactor – SARL Renovations
About the Role The Salem Animal Rescue League is seeking a partner to help secure a new, permanent home by donating land or making land available at a feasible cost for a growing nonprofit. The project aims for a site of at least 2.5 acres, commercially zoned, to enable expanded services through renovations.
What You'll Do
- Identify and engage potential land donors or partners in the community to support the SARL relocation and renovation project.
- Coordinate with SARL leadership, Town of Salem officials, zoning authorities, and other stakeholders to evaluate land options and feasibility.
- Communicate the benefits of charitable land donations including associated tax incentives available to 501(c)(3) donors.
- Assist with due diligence, project planning, and ongoing stewardship to ensure a successful partnership and long-term community impact.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, real estate partnerships, or community development.
- Ability to build relationships with donors, officials, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of land use, zoning, and tax incentive programs for charitable donations (501(c)(3)).
- Strong communication and project management skills, with a passion for helping animals and the local community.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with nonprofit capital campaigns or facility development.
- Familiarity with New Hampshire property markets, land acquisition processes, and local government processes.
- Established network of potential donors and real estate professionals.
