Operations Shift Lead – Production (all genders)

HelloFresh is changing the way people eat through a data-driven, on-demand model. As an Operations Shift Lead – Production (all genders) based in Barleben, you will be at the heart of our production and warehouse operations. You will lead a team of department heads, coordinate production plans, and ensure that quality and safety standards are met at all times. You will keep efficiency and productivity in focus and actively drive improvements. You will work closely with other shift supervisors and cross-functional teams to optimize processes, achieve production targets, and ensure smooth operation of our facilities. With strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will contribute significantly to our success.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift team of area managers and supervisors to ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Motivate your team, create a positive working atmosphere, and encourage feedback and active participation in improvements.
• Serve as the central point of contact, coordinating communication, escalations, and reporting internally and with production management.
• Plan resources such as personnel, ingredients, and energy in a clever and sustainable way to keep processes running smoothly.
• Actively investigate production problems, initiate corrective measures, and implement improvements.
• Ensure hygiene, health, and environmental regulations are adhered to at all times.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training, master craftsman title, or studies in food technology, production technology, mechanical engineering, logistics, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in production and/or logistics, ideally in the food, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
• Experience in leading and motivating teams (e.g., team leader, supervisor, or shift supervisor).
• Solid knowledge of quality standards, occupational safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Experience in shift planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.
• Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and conflict management.
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work style.
• Resilience and flexibility, including shift work and weekend work.
• Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and efficient production processes.
