Job title: Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator

About the Role Join our fast-paced warehouse team as a Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator. You will unload inbound pallets, receive and verify goods with RF/Voice Pick, move and store items, pick and palletize bulk orders, and load shipments for customer delivery. This role requires operating various material handling equipment (MHE) and maintaining safety and accuracy in a distribution environment.

What You'll Do

• Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually and/or using MHE including pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using RF or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.
• Moves cases to storage locations in the warehouse using a standing reach truck or stock picker.
• Moves pallets and/or cases from reserve location to pick location using a standing reach truck, stock picker, or sit down forklift.
• Selects bulk items from warehouse racking using a stock picker and Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner.
• Operates a forklift and picks items as high as 35 feet in the air; builds pallets and delivers them to designated area for shipping.
• Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
• Uses sit down forklift, electric or manual pallet jack to load pallets.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment; follows safety policies and procedures; conducts physical inventories as required; counts and performs basic math calculations.
• Performs additional duties as directed.

What We're Looking For

• General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.).
• Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus.
• Warehouse/Operations certification a plus.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment; good attention to detail; dependable with regular attendance.
• Willingness to learn how to use new material handling equipment and WMS technology; adherence to SOPs and safety rules.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to frequently work unscheduled overtime hours with minimal notice; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• For some functions, must be able to operate forklift and pick items as high as 35 feet in the air; stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods; squat and kneel often; lift up to 50 lbs (or greater with team lift); use step ladders; wear steel-toed footwear; speak/understand English to operate voice-pick.
