Job title: Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator
About the Role A Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator performs warehouse tasks within Owens & Minor's distribution facility, primarily without the use of material handling equipment, unloading inbound shipments, replenishing inventory, picking, packing, and loading outbound products. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely processing to support customer orders.
What You'll Do
- Receiving: Unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using a pallet jack; accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using RF equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.
- LUM Picking: Select products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places items into totes on a conveyor belt; remove empty cartons from pick module as needed.
- Sortation: Prepare sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product; move cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
- Loading: Use RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery; use pallet jack to load pallets.
- General: Follow general sequencing and process procedures; maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow safety policies and procedures and correct or communicate hazards to management; place incoming merchandise into inventory; conduct physical inventories as required; count and perform basic math calculations; maintain productivity and quality standards; perform additional duties as directed.
What We're Looking For
- Education and Experience: General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.); prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus; Warehouse/Operations certification a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form; ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet performance standards/individual performance goals; good attention to detail; dependable and able to report to work as scheduled/have regular punctual attendance; willingness to learn how to use new material handling equipment; willingness to learn WMS Technology; ability to adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures for safety rules and requirements received in training.
- Additional Requirements: Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; ability to frequently work.

- The anticipated pay for this position is $19.00/hr.
