Job title: Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator

About the Role The Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator supports warehousing operations at Owens & Minor's Louisville distribution center. This role performs warehouse tasks with limited use of material handling equipment, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are processed safely and accurately to meet customer specifications.

What You'll Do

• Receiving: Unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers using a pallet jack; count, verify, and receive product with RF or Voice Pick; document variances.
• LUM Picking: Pick quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology or RF scanner; place items into totes on conveyor.
• Sortation: Prepare sortation area and move cartons/totes to pallets or carts per batch; remove empty cartons as needed.
• Loading: Load totes/pallets onto trucks using RF scanner and pallet jack; ensure correct loading for customer delivery.
• General: Follow procedures, maintain safe/clean work environment, conduct inventory counts as required, and meet productivity/quality standards. Perform additional duties as directed.

What We're Looking For

• General knowledge of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing).
• Prior warehouse/distribution center experience preferred; warehouse/operations certification a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet performance goals; good attention to detail; dependable with regular attendance.
• Willingness to learn new material handling equipment and WMS technology; adhere to SOPs and safety requirements.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; ability to work unscheduled overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Some roles require forklift operation and ability to reach up to 35 feet; able to stand/walk on concrete for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs individually or more with a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklift; able to climb to heights up to 35 feet.
• Knowledge of voice-pick/WMS systems and safety-focused mindset.
