Job title: Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator
About the Role As a Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator at Owens & Minor and Accendra Health, you will perform warehouse tasks in a fast-paced distribution center, primarily without relying on material handling equipment. You will unload inbound shipments, accurately receive and process products, perform replenishment and pick/pack/ship according to customer specifications, and help ensure safe, on-time distribution of healthcare goods.
What You'll Do
- Receiving: unload pallets and cases from inbound trailers manually with pallet jack; count, verify, and receive product using RF or Voice Pick technology; document variances.
- LUM Picking: select products as directed by Voice Pick Technology or RF scanner and place items into totes on conveyor.
- Remove empty cartons from pick module.
- Sortation: prepare sortation area and move cartons/totes to pallets/carts per batch.
- Loading: use RF scanner to ensure totes/pallets/carts are loaded correctly onto trucks; use pallet jack to load pallets.
- General: follow procedures; maintain a safe/clean work environment; report hazards; conduct physical inventories as required; perform basic math; maintain productivity and quality; perform additional duties as directed.
What We're Looking For
- General knowledge of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.).
- Prior experience in a warehouse/distribution center is a plus; Warehouse/Operations certification is a plus.
- Ability to apply common sense, work in fast-paced, team environment, meet performance standards; good attention to detail; dependable with regular attendance; willingness to learn to use new material handling equipment and WMS technology; able to follow SOPs.
- Additional requirements: pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; ability to work unscheduled overtime hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; operate forklift and reach items up to 35 feet high; stand/walk on concrete; ability to squat/kneel; lift up to 50 lbs; use step ladder; wear steel-toed footwear; speak/understand English to operate voice-pick.

- Salary: The anticipated pay range is $16.50 per hour.
