Distribution Supervisor

About the Role Distribution Supervisor responsible for daily direction, coaching, and defining departmental objectives in a distribution center focused on parts control, warehousing, sequencing, repack, and inventory control. The role also acts as a communicator of processes, policies, and administrative issues, sets an example for associates, ensures customer satisfaction, and drives continuous improvement. What You'll Do

• Ensure proper training and related documentation for all department associates
• Plan associate work schedules
• Supervise direct reports
• Provide guidance, coaching and counseling
• Prepare associate evaluations
• Order services, supplies, and minor equipment
• Prepare reports as required
• Manage operational expenses related to the facility or department
• Assist in the preparation and maintaining of annual budgets
• Contact YNA internal and external customers directly
• Address and resolve customer issues and complaints
• Report and resolve shortages, damages, and other discrepancies
• Assure that Customer Specific Requirements are met
• Maintain accurate department records and documentation
• Promote and maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensure and oversee proper storage and maintenance of equipment
• Address and resolve associates' administrative and personal issues and concerns
• Assist Facility or Department Manager as directed
• Assist management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
• Support corporate policies and departmental policies
• Support EMS/QMS policies and procedures
• Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of leadership experience preferred
• Forklift Certification
• Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications; SAP; GQRS
• 3+ years as a YNA Team Lead or 4+ years external supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment
• English language proficiency required for all supervisors
• Travel: Domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites
• On-call availability: 24/7 including weekends and holidays
• Physical requirements: ability to lift and carry Nice to Have
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others beyond giving/receiving instructions
