Job title: Distribution Manager
Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization's Distribution Center. The role is responsible for inventory control, inbound/outbound freight, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. The Distribution Manager will drive effective logistics leadership through strong decision-making and team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Ensure safety standards, policies, and practices are followed across all distribution operations to safeguard employees.
- Plan and manage all operational activities to meet department and company objectives; include inventory control, receiving, picking, shipping, and support activities.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent losses/damages and optimize warehouse performance.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at the distribution center; ensure the achievement of operational and financial goals.
- Supervise a team of associates and warehouse supervisors, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Perform basic administrative tasks and maintain clear, complete operational records.
- Prepare financial projections/budgets and manage expenses within approved budgets.
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members.
- Contribute to team success by delivering results and participating in projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in foreign trade and customs or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in distribution and at least 5 years supervising personnel.
- Advanced English.
- Familiarity with all departments within operations and their interdependencies; direct knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers.
