Job title: Distance Education Operators - College of Engineering
About the Role The Distance Education Operator will be responsible for the operation of audio/video systems used for the production of online content for Villanova's College of Engineering graduate program. No prior AV/IT experience is required; training will be provided.
What You'll Do
- Operate audio/video systems for the production of online content for the College of Engineering's graduate program.
- Provide faculty, staff, and student support for classroom AV systems.
- Manage live stream recording and archiving of Distance Education content.
- Assist with scheduling and shifts (evening hours), ensuring quality control of audio and video outputs on-site at Drosdick Hall.
- Work evening shifts (typically 5:30–9:30 pm Mon–Thu); some shifts may also be 11:30–2:30 or 2:30–5:30 pm.
What We're Looking For
- Interest or background in audio/visual systems; knowledge of PC-based computer systems is helpful.
- Willingness to learn; no prior AV/IT experience needed; training will be provided.
- Ability to support faculty, staff and students in a classroom environment and to communicate effectively.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and listen to audio for quality control purposes.
- Availability for up to 20 hours per week, with evening availability.
Nice to Have
- Solid background in AV systems and PC-based systems (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage: $13 per hour. Up to 20 hours per week. Training provided. Evening schedule.
