Dispatcher

Dispatcher - North Chesterfield, VA

We are looking for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily coordination of service activity in North Chesterfield, Virginia. This Contract position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized under pressure, and can balance customer needs with operational priorities. The person in this role will manage incoming requests, monitor schedules, and help keep field response and logistics running smoothly through timely, accurate updates.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize incoming service calls, gathering complete information to route requests appropriately.

• Coordinate schedules and assignments for drivers, technicians, or field personnel to maintain efficient coverage.

• Use computer-aided dispatch tools to track activity, update job status, and document key details in real time.

• Communicate with customers professionally by phone, providing updates, answering questions, and resolving routine concerns.

• Monitor active assignments and adjust plans quickly when delays, urgent issues, or changing service needs arise.

• Work closely with internal teams to support smooth logistics, accurate information flow, and timely completion of requests.

• Maintain clear records of calls, dispatch actions, and service outcomes to support operational accuracy and reporting.

• Prior experience in dispatching, call center support, or a customer service environment.

• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to remain calm and attentive to detail in fast-paced situations.

• Proficiency using computer systems and dispatch-related software to enter, track, and update information.

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Customer-focused approach with sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting logistics, scheduling, or service coordination is preferred.
