The Dispatch Supervisor will receive SSR work orders via telephone, enters information into computer system or manual orders. May give general information over the phone to clients/customers. Employee is also responsible for the direct oversight of an assigned work team/ area on a designated account and/or on designated shift. Employee is further responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met. Must also assign worker orders to wheelchair agents.

Compensation: $22.38 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars). The pay listed is the salaried range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule: Revolving schedule, Weekend work with two days off during work week, 2:00PM - 10:30PM EST

Specific Duties/Essential Job Functions: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Data entry of work orders; (If integration is not applicable)

  • Ensure that every order called is entered into the computer system

  • Ensure all calls are recorded on the daily log

  • Answer phone calls from Special Services Department

  • Assign wheelchair agents tablets, radios, and wheelchairs. (Station Specific)

  • Assign wheelchair agent work orders.

  • Maintain daily shift report for managers

  • Achieve operational performance and functional service activities.

  • Provide technical guidance, interpret policies and procedures, and assist front line employees in performing functional task.

  • Ensure that shift schedules are complete (days off, vacations, etc.) a week in advance.

  • Ensure all call-off are covered.

  • Accommodate increase / decreased client staffing requests.

  • Manage the No-Fault Attendance Policy.

  • Manage daily schedules, including employee lunches and breaks.

  • Maintain communication with Shift Managers to monitor and maintain optimum staffing levels.

  • Effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Front –Line wheelchair employees on designated account and shift.

Physical Demands: The individual may be required to sit, stand and/or walk for 2/3 or more of the work shift. The individual may be required to talk, hear and use hands to handle or feel, for the entire work shift. The individual may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment: The work environment has a moderate noise level.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from passengers, groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills

  • Ability to type and use computer software accordingly

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
