Dispatch Rider

About the Role The Dispatch Rider at R-Jolad Hospital ensures timely delivery of medical supplies, documents, and equipment inside the hospital and to external locations, while maintaining safety and patient care standards. This role requires strong riding skills, safety awareness, and the ability to manage time-sensitive transport in a healthcare setting. What You'll Do

• Transport medical supplies, documents, and equipment between hospital departments, clinics, laboratories, and external locations, following defined routes and schedules.
• Verify delivery instructions and recipient details to ensure accurate and error-free handoffs; collect and deliver urgent samples, specimens, and reports securely.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the dispatch motorcycle (fuel, oil, tires, etc.) and report any issues promptly.
• Ensure roadworthy condition and compliance with vehicle safety regulations; adhere to traffic laws on public roads and hospital premises; wear safety gear.
• Maintain high situational awareness, anticipate hazards, and follow protocols for hazardous, fragile, and confidential items.
• Maintain accurate delivery records (times, signatures, notes) and complete required logs and trip reports.
• Provide timely status updates to the dispatch coordinator; offer courteous, professional service, and address inquiries promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch colleagues, staff, and recipients to ensure smooth operations. What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid motorcycle rider’s license.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and ability to perform routine checks.
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of motorcycle riding and delivery.
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider, preferably in healthcare or transportation; healthcare environment experience is a plus.
• Experience handling emergencies or high-pressure situations; strong customer service history.
• Proficiency in customer-facing roles and conflict resolution. Nice to Have
