Director, Supply Chain

As Veo's Director, Supply Chain, you will lead Veo's end-to-end supply chain function, including central warehouse operations, supplier management, supply planning, international logistics, hardware quality coordination, and supply chain financial performance. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles, batteries, and parts are sourced, produced, transported, and delivered on time, at the required quality, and at a competitive cost.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner closely with Operations, Hardware, R&D, Finance, and Veo's suppliers to strengthen supply chain performance, reduce unit costs, optimize working capital, and develop strategies that protect the business from global supply chain risks.

This role is ideal for an experienced, supply chain leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on operating approach and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Leadership - Own Veo's end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution across vehicles, batteries, replacement parts, international sourcing, and domestic distribution.
• Central Warehouse Management - Oversee multiple central warehouse supply chain operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, inventory controls, order fulfillment, and shipping vendor performance.
• Supplier Management - Lead supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation, and performance management across pricing, production capacity, delivery timelines, product quality, and commercial terms.
• Supply Chain Planning - Develop and maintain vehicle, battery, and parts-ordering plans based on fleet needs, consumption trends, demand forecasts, lead times, and operational priorities.
• International Logistics - Manage cross-border shipments, including tariff strategy, customs coordination, vessel booking, freight forwarding, port management, and delivery to U.S. warehouses and operating markets.
• Cost Optimization- Lead initiatives to optimize vehicle, battery, parts, freight, and total landed costs while maintaining Veo's quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Financial Performance - Own the financial performance of the supply chain function, including budget management, cost-reduction targets, inventory investment, working capital optimization, and supply chain forecasting.
• Cross-Functional Partnership - Lead alignment between Supply Chain, Operations, Hardware, R&D, Finance, and other stakeholders to support new vehicle launches, ensure parts availability, identify and resolve in-market product issues, improve product reliability, and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop domestic and international supply chain and warehouse teams while fostering a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience - 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, or related functions, including leadership experience. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
• Supply Chain Expertise - Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier and production management, inventory planning, warehousing, international logistics, tariffs, and supply chain risk management.
• Financial Acumen - Demonstrated success reducing unit and landed costs, managing budgets, improving inventory efficiency, and optimizing working capital.
• Hardware and Quality - Experience managing suppliers and quality issues involving vehicles, batteries, electronics, or other manufactured hardware, including partnering with Engineering or R&D on corrective actions.
• Leadership - Proven ability to lead domestic and international teams, manage complex supplier relationships, and build scalable supply chain processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Skills - Experience with ERP, inventory, warehouse, procurement, and supply-planning systems. Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets required.
• Communication - Strong executive communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Language - Full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
• Hybrid Role - Must reside within or relocate to a commutable distance from our Santa Monica headquarters. This role requires a minimum of four days per week in the office.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Total Cash Compensation: $175,000–$250,000 annually, including a base salary and annual performance bonus opportunity.

• Base Salary: $175,000–$230,000

• Annual Performance Bonus: Additional earning potential based on performance
