About the Role Synopsys is seeking a Director of SoC Verification to lead the System Solutions Group's verification initiatives and deliver customer-facing SoC services. The role blends deep verification expertise with strategic leadership to scale capabilities across automotive, aerospace, defense, and high-performance computing. You will shape verification strategy, drive quality, and develop leaders who can own customer signoffs.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a multi-team SoC verification organization delivering customer-facing services across automotive, aerospace, defense, and high-performance computing.
- Define and drive SSG verification strategy, including methodology standards, signoff criteria, VIP and tool deployment, and reusable testbench patterns adopted across projects.
- Own organizational planning including headcount, hiring, succession, performance management, and skill development to build scalable verification capability.
- Partner with sales and account teams to scope opportunities, assess technical and resource risk, prioritize work against capacity, and align delivery with customer and business needs.
What We're Looking For
- Deep SoC verification expertise with organizational leadership and a track record of closing coverage on complex multi-protocol designs.
- Experience scaling verification across a services organization and managing customer engagements with varying scope and timelines.
- Ability to define and execute verification plans that balance time-to-tapeout with quality, and to build leaders who can own customer signoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to restructure teams and reallocate resources when customer scope expands while maintaining quality.
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers; working knowledge of automotive safety requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and people-development skills with a focus on developing senior engineers into capable leaders who can own responsibilities.
