About the Role Shanghai, China-based, full-time role to lead BioNTech's Global Product Strategy for Oncology in China. You will work with BioNTech China and global partners to optimize early clinical programs and serve as a key expert for Oncology commercialization in China.
What You'll Do
- Act as the Global Product Strategy/Commercial lead to optimize strategic program decisions to maximize patient impact and commercialization.
- Lead and contribute to new product planning and early commercialization strategy, including asset prioritization aligned to the portfolio; develop product strategies, target product profiles, indication prioritization, positioning, and market shaping activities.
- Leverage knowledge of the China's oncology healthcare market to shape product planning for optimal commercialization in China.
- Provide strategic input on commercialization approaches with emphasis on the China oncology market.
- Direct commercialization strategy and ensure launch readiness for China, driving cross-functional collaboration and managing strategic alliances.
- Partner with partnered companies and cross-functional groups in China and globally (Clinical Development, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Business Alliance, Finance, Medical Affairs) to develop and implement plans across the asset lifecycle.
- Execute budget planning and monitor resource allocation.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with global and/or affiliate experience and a track record of sustained overachievement.
- Demonstrated oncology commercialization success in China; experience in Japan, Australia, and other Asia markets preferred.
- Ability to translate disease-area expertise (NSCLC, breast, GI, GU cancers) into strategic decisions affecting development or commercialization outcomes.
- At least 3 years of experience in new product planning, product strategy, or Global Brand Teams; evidence of leading high-impact initiatives across assets from early clinical development through launch or milestones.
- Experience in global or affiliate commercial/marketing roles, or as a consultant; ability to excel in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments.
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and organizational skills; ability to synthesize complexity into clear, decision-driving recommendations.
- Strong collaboration and influence across global, cross-functional teams beyond formal authority.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; ability to operate in senior, bilingual, multicultural settings.

- Experience across Japan, Australia, and other Asia markets is preferred.
