We are looking for a Director, SAP App Dev. & Innovation to be responsible for integrating software and hardware frameworks, systems and product design functions and for designing underlying architecture for use in one or more product offerings. You will evaluate final results of design, assure the accomplishment of technical objectives, prepare and present reports outlining project outcomes, and make recommendations for actions to achieve desired results. You will manage technical SAP teams through complex system development and deployment, delivering solutions that include artificial intelligence, application development and integration in a unified environment. You will re-engineer, transform and maintain custom SAP SOH workloads on S/4 and BTP, analyze custom workloads on the current stack and establish a framework to migrate objects and reach a clean core. You will provide technical guidance and architectural inputs for code remediation to S/4, actively lead SAP technical vision to leverage best practices and drive maximum business value, and apply technology to complex processes with a focus on simplification and reducing total cost of ownership. You will evaluate business requirements and architect SAP solutions with an integrated approach, stay up-to-date on the latest SAP technology stack and act as a strategic advisor to product and business teams on how to leverage SAP products and tools. You will manage technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems, guide the engineering team to develop, configure and implement the solution per product development standards and best practices, ensure technical integrity of projects, leverage common technical elements, and avoid duplication of work. You will participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition, coordinate with other technical teams to ensure compatibility with their solution components and alignment with their roadmap, hold yourself and others accountable to deadlines and deliverables, and act as a mentor, coach, and trainer to engineers and consultants by sharing solution and technical expertise.

Additional Requirements: Up to 10 percent domestic travel required. Fully remote: this position is designated as fully remote, contributing from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly the employee’s residence. Salary range: $260,000 per year Full-time: 40 hours per week

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline (or foreign degree equivalent), plus 12 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation focused on SAP integration/development.

Position requires the following skill:

• Experience consulting on more than eight SAP ECC implementation or S/4 HANA implementation projects. The following skills must have been gained through 12 years of experience: experience with various SAP modules and Integration development working on large-scale SAP ECC and SAP S/4 transformations; experience with SAP technical and functional experience with SAP products and various solution offerings.

• The following skills must have been gained through 10 years of experience: deep technical experience in SAP ECC Application engineering development using ABAP-based frameworks like Business Add-ins (BADI), Application Link Enabling (ALE IDOC), Smartforms, ALV, and others; experience with business process re-engineering or process improvement across broad-based information systems.

• The following skills must have been gained through eight years of experience: experience leveraging released BAPIs or APIs to develop customizations and creating wrappers for requirements where no released or standard BAPI’s are available; experience working with interfaces in addition to web services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications; experience with transformation projects e.g., from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA (ECC, SOH or S/4 Conversions, green field, brown field, blue field etc.).

• The following skills must have been gained through seven years of experience: deep technical experience in SAP SOH and/or S/4 HANA Application engineering development using the S/4 HANA Extensibility model; experience with in-app extensions using key user and in-app frameworks using the RAP (Restful ABAP programming) model; experience with side-by-side extensions in BTP using the Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model.

• The following skill must have been gained through five years of experience: experience developing SAP Fiori applications.

• The following skills must have been gained through four years of experience: experience with Clean Core principles for developing S/4 HANA; experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using SAP BTP services for activities like Technical Development using Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP Build and Workzone and using the Integration Suite for developing end-to-end integrations.
