About the Role The Director, Project Management at ICON will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical research projects and programs that advance clinical development. You will balance hands-on project leadership with people leadership, coaching team members, and serving as key client contact to drive satisfaction and repeat business. You will ensure delivery on time, on budget, high quality, and in compliance with ICH-GCP, collaborating with cross-functional partners. What You'll Do
- Direct project and programme management activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- May act as an individual contributor and a people leader; coach team members.
- May be key client contact for designated clinical projects; drive client satisfaction, operational excellence, and repeat business.
- Take accountability for delivery of projects or programs on time, within budget, to high quality standards and in compliance with ICH-GCP.
- Collaborate with leaders and staff from Finance, Commercial, Quality, Business Operations, Talent Acquisition, and other functions.
- Contribute to proposal development and Bid Defense Meetings; develop innovative plans, operational strategies, and budget models.
- Drive process improvement, risk assessment and mitigation, and ensure quality.
- Drive implementation of corporate initiatives within the immediate team and function. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in project management within clinical research or healthcare sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in project management methodologies and tools; a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%. Nice to Have
- Experience with proposal development and budget modeling.
- Experience with Bid Defense Meetings and client relationship management.
