Director Production Planning
Director, Production Planning is responsible for leading production planning teams and governing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across assigned manufacturing sites to ensure reliable, executable production plans. This role drives cross-functional alignment through the SIOP process, resolves demand, capacity, and material constraints, and continuously improves planning performance through standardization, digital tools, advanced planning technologies, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of production planners in managing the master production schedule (MPS)
- Monitor MPS and make improvements based on MPS load and MPS attainment to ensure an executable production plan of the manufacturing sites within scope of responsibility
- Implement, sustain and enhance planner standard work procedures at sites within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Product health teams and Planning leaders to execute production plans
- Participate in monthly SIOP meetings to approve network production plans, present associated risks, and discuss mitigation plans with functional and business leadership
- Build a world-class team, through adoption of advance planning tools like Rapid Response and AI Agents
- Demonstrated YoY improvement in Performance Initiatives (KPIs)
- Collaborate with functional teams to resolve demand, capacity constraints, and material availability issues, and support
- Review, monitor and adjust planning parameters and material master data to meet the requirement of the sites
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
-
At least 10 years of Supply Planning, Operations Planning/Scheduling, Materials Management of other Operations Planning related functional area.

At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain leadership within a manufacturing environment, defense and aerospace preferred
-
At least 3 years of planning experience in SAP ERP system

Bachelor’s Degree, Master Degree preferred

Experience in Planning, Materials Management, Operations OR SIOP

Experience in Kinaxis-RapidResponse (or Maestro) highly recommended

APICS or CPIM Certification.

Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

Expertise in leading/driving change and mentor for new leaders or peers.
