Director, Platforming Asia Design Center [TDC & Suzhou]

About the Role Part of our Asia Design Center, this role owns Platform Architecture in coordination with the CGO to define product roadmaps. It focuses on defining modular platforms, guiding design, maximizing component reuse, and ensuring cost is a key driver throughout the product lifecycle from concept to NPD and production. What You'll Do

• Own Platform Architecture in coordination with Chief & Product Management (CGO) to define product roadmap.
• Define modules to be used in new product prior to design center execution; create design guides; maximize component reuse; ensure cost is a key driver of selection.
• Clearly understand product trade-offs to deliver the optimized platform solution.
• Ensure NPD projects are fully scoped with all SKUs considered.
• Support the portfolio optimization team to deliver a refined portfolio as we progress the product lifecycle.
• Identify standardization opportunities within both NPD & current products to drive cost improvement.
• Own Platform Integrity and Associated Module Life Cycles; Maintain/build Library-Menus.
• Identify Technology Roadmaps and Application Needs in collaboration with Chief Engineers.
• Platform Reporting (On Time / On Cost / On Quality) at Cross Functional Meetings.
• Own Platform Cost Walk and Plan to Optimize Cost In Collaboration with CGO, GSC and DTV Partners; Determine Sub-Component / Module Level Product Cost Budget; Collaborate with GSC (Manf., Ops, Purchasing, Eng.) on Footprint Moves & Strategies. What We're Looking For
• Experience coordinating with CGO, Chief Engineers, and cross-functional teams to define platform roadmaps and budgets.
• Strong ability to define modules, design guides, and standardization opportunities to drive cost improvements across NPD and current products.
• Proven track record in platform integrity, module life cycles, and maintaining library menus.
• Ability to manage platform reporting (On Time / On Cost / On Quality) in cross-functional settings.
• Capability to analyze product trade-offs and optimize platform cost through cost walks and collaboration with manufacturing, operations, and purchasing teams.
• Familiarity with scoping NPD projects for all SKUs and with portfolio optimization practices.
