About the Role The Semiconductor Manufacturing Director leads and oversees all operational aspects of a semiconductor manufacturing facility, driving efficient production of high-quality semiconductor products. This strategic leadership position requires deep expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes, with strong technical and business acumen and a proven ability to guide teams and optimize operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. What You'll Do
- Lead and oversee all operational aspects of the semiconductor manufacturing facility, driving efficient production.
- Track production progress against schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
- Manage deployment of labor, materials, and equipment; coordinate with supply chain to prevent shortages.
- Dynamically adjust production schedules to accommodate shifts in priorities and maintenance.
- Implement rigorous quality procedures and work with Quality Control to execute corrective actions.
- Enforce health and safety regulations; conduct audits and foster a culture of safety through training and risk management.
- Drive 5S integration and lead periodic audits and continuous improvement training.
- Lead a team of supervisors and operators; set priorities and conduct performance reviews.
- Identify skill gaps and design targeted training to advance technical and soft skills.
- Provide consistent feedback and coaching to help employees meet productivity and quality goals.
- Troubleshoot production issues rapidly to minimize downtime; continuously improve processes to reduce cycle times and costs.
- Maintain accurate records of output, quality, and attendance; provide data-backed recommendations to management.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to implement new technologies or processes and ensure alignment with broader company initiatives. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
- Strong command of Lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S).
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to manage diverse teams and drive cultural change.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate production data into actionable operational strategies. Nice to Have
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
