About the Role Multiple Director positions are open at the Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL). SARL is a no-kill animal shelter that provides compassionate care and new permanent homes, and these director roles will help guide strategy, operations, and community impact in service of that mission. - Provide strategic leadership and oversight across SARL programs and operations to advance the organization's mission.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to set direction, policies, and priorities.
- Lead cross-department coordination with teams such as Veterinary Services, Development and Communications, and Shelter Operations to ensure high-quality humane care and alignment with SARL's no-kill philosophy.
- Represent SARL in the community to build partnerships, fundraising, and public awareness. What We're Looking For
- Proven nonprofit leadership experience with ability to work with a Board and executive teams.
- Passion for animal welfare and no-kill shelter principles.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience overseeing multiple programs or departments in a nonprofit setting. Nice to Have
- Experience in animal welfare organizations or shelters.
- Board governance or fundraising experience.
