About the Role Paramount's WBZ-TV/CBS Boston is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Technology to lead the technical strategy and execution of our multi-platform content center. This high-impact leadership role reports to the President and General Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the Division Senior Vice President of Engineering, and is responsible for shaping the technical vision of a modern television station and streaming operation in a highly competitive market. What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead all engineering and technical operations for broadcast and digital streaming platforms.
- Oversee technical infrastructure supporting news production, content distribution, and multi-platform delivery.
- Drive innovation across television and streaming workflows.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, signal integrity, cybersecurity, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with station and division leadership on capital planning, vendor relationships, and technology budgets.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering specialist team.
- Partner with the Director of News Operations and Production to prioritize station projects. What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in broadcast engineering and/or multi-platform media environments.
- Deep expertise in television transmission, studio systems, newsroom workflows, and streaming technologies.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
- Experience leading technical transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and executive leadership.
- Knowledge of FCC regulations and industry best practices. Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 USD per year. This position is bonus eligible.
