Job title: Director of Supply Chain
About the Role This role leads the direction of supply chain services for the organization, overseeing material flow through the production system, purchasing/procurement, production scheduling, stockroom and shipping, and financial reporting. The position drives continuous improvement and aligns inventory policies with customer service and financial goals.
What You'll Do
- Direct, manage and oversee the coordination and physical progression of material through the production system, purchasing/procurement, production scheduling/control, stockroom and shipping functions.
- Ensure production plans/controls are developed and executed; plan material control schedules for operating departments.
- Direct outside vendor functions and manage BOM creation/maintenance and detailed process instructions.
- Oversee shipping and stockroom operations to ensure smooth flow of materials; drive on-time delivery and shipping goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reductions through systems, controls and policies; establish inventory policies aligned with goals.
- Plan staff size to accomplish normal assignments and assist the Operations Director in evaluating facility status and staffing/equipment needs.
- Ensure monthly shipping level goals and on-time delivery targets are achieved; carry out ongoing operations improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned and enforce safety rules/regulations.
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting (highly preferred).
- 4+ years of supervisory experience (highly preferred).
- Proficiency with ERP software; Syteline preferred but not required.
- Strong quantitative skills: ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and other figures; solid algebra/geometry understanding.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret written/oral instructions, and work under deadline pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline (highly preferred).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Syteline ERP is preferred.
- Advanced degree or additional certifications in supply chain or operations management.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $155,200 to $195,000 USD per year.
- Eligible to participate in Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan (3X bonus multiple, dependent on company performance).
- 120 hours of paid time off per year and 10 paid holidays.
