Director of Strategic Sourcing

Our global manufacturing customer is looking for a strategic, data-driven Director of Strategic Sourcing to lead global spend strategy, supplier development, cost optimization, and high-impact sourcing initiatives. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide supply chain performance, build strong global partnerships, and drive measurable value across a complex manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the global leader for all spend, supply chain development, and supplier metrics
• Direct strategic and tactical activities across Purchasing, Sourcing, and Supply Management Analytics
• Drive, align, and ensure strong project management for all nearshoring and onshoring projects and activities
• Globally develop and align the team around Oracle Supplier Portal and Power BI application dashboards and KPIs
• Lead contract line-item delivery schedules, leasing programs, and strategic contract negotiations with suppliers
• Manage spend of up to $200M and determine budget needs for assigned projects
• Achieve year-over-year cost savings in both direct and indirect spend, including consultant engagements
• Drive the Value Creation Plan (VCP) through strategic sourcing elements and critical savings projects
• Collaborate with Asian procurement teams to leverage spend and achieve cost-saving targets
• Define supplier quality systems and scorecard metrics for monthly and quarterly reporting
• Use data analysis and reporting to support supply chain strategies and cost reduction efforts
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams to set launch quantities for new products
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships while providing meaningful analysis
• Optimize inbound and outbound logistics to reduce cost and improve inventory holdings
• Partner with legal and cross-functional teams to develop and execute the spend plan
• Manage necessary trade compliance processes for both internal requirements and government mandates
• Identify critical suppliers and negotiate long-term contracts that define prices, quality standards, cost-reduction targets, delivery timelines, and commercial terms and conditions
• Lead teams through make-versus-buy decisions and achieve cost optimization projects
• Provide effective coaching, mentoring, and global team development across a matrix operations environment
• Coach and develop others to ensure organizational success; identify talent and provide opportunities to learn and grow; recognize great performance; provide ongoing feedback; and address performance issues decisively and quickly

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• Work Experience: 15 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, including strategic sourcing, knowledge of the procurement module of an ERP system, and experience in global sourcing

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and expert-level experience with ERP systems

• Communication Skills: Ability to think logically and strategically while supporting business objectives; effective written and verbal communication skills

• Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
