Incredible company is searching for a transformational sales leader to drive revenue growth, sales excellence, and organizational scale across its national conference events.

Director of Sales Requirements:

  • Must reside in the EST or CST time zones
  • Current sales leadership experience within the conference events industry
  • Current experience of individual contributor sales
  • 5+ years of managing a multi-layered sales team
  • Stable career progression with strong tenure, showing year-over-year growth at one company
  • High-energy, driven, self-motivated and forward-thinking
  • Direct P&L responsibility of sales performance of an entire company, division, or business-unit level
  • Ability to build repeatable sales systems and training programs
  • Demonstrated success building, scaling, or transforming a sales function
  • Ability to operate effectively within founder-led organizations
  • Strong CRM, forecasting, analytics, and AI tool expertise

Director of Sales Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company professionally while maintaining brand integrity
  • Deliver 20%+ year-over-year revenue growth through a combination of new business development, sponsorship expansion, account growth, and improved sales execution
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, accountable sales organization by recruiting, developing, and coaching Sales Managers and Account Executives capable of consistently achieving and exceeding quota
  • Implement AI-driven sales processes and optimize CRM and reporting systems
  • Implement scalable sales processes and operating rhythms, including KPI dashboards, pipeline reviews, one-on-one coaching, performance management, and quarterly business planning
  • Achieve organization-wide CRM adoption, ensuring sales activity, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting are consistently maintained and leveraged to drive effective decision-making
  • Establish predictable forecasting and pipeline discipline, providing executive leadership with accurate revenue projections and meaningful business insights
  • Expand company's commercial footprint by identifying new markets, strategic partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and revenue channels aligned with the company's growth objectives
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure operational excellence
