Director of Product Quality

About the Role This role leads Motorola Solutions' product quality and integrity across the full product lifecycle. You will drive engineering, supplier, and repair data discipline to minimize COPQ and maximize customer satisfaction through a world-class quality program. What You'll Do

• Define and execute a multi-year strategy across the entire product lifecycle, from design gate to aftermarket service.
• Drive systemic improvements in KPIs related to product reliability, manufacturing yield, and operational efficiency across the global enterprise.
• Own and manage OPEX/CAPEX budgets to minimize COPQ and drive tangible cost reductions in warranty expense.
• Lead quality across the supply chain; establish robust qualification, certification, and continuous improvement programs with external manufacturing and service partners to mitigate supply chain risk.
• Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and regulatory adherence; foster a culture of Lean and Six Sigma across all operational groups.
• Rapidly analyze field failure and repair data and translate insights into product and process improvements. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in leadership and engineering.
• Strong technical background with DFMEA, DOE, Quality Tools and DFX principles; Six Sigma Black Belt or ASQ CMQ preferred.
• Experience as a P&L owner or General Manager for a significant operational area.
• Demonstrated ability to define strategic roadmaps, drive organizational change, and present complex technical and financial strategies to executive leadership. Nice to Have
• Six Sigma Black Belt or CMQ certification preferred.
• P&L/GM experience in a major operations area.
• DFMEA, DOE, QTools, and DFX expertise; bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Travel up to 10% may be required. Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $139,000 - $225,000 USD per year.
