About the Role Uline is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize our Ontario, CA distribution operations. This senior leadership role will drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction through strategic planning, process improvement, and strong team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations, setting clear goals and KPIs to meet service levels and cost targets.
- Develop and execute operational strategies, processes, and standard work to improve throughput, accuracy, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Warehouse, Supply Chain, IT, Purchasing, and Facilities to align resources and priorities.
- Manage budgets, staffing, training, and development of managers and supervisors; champion a culture of coaching and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety programs, and company policies; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics; prepare reports for senior leadership and implement data-driven decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Proven senior-level experience leading large-scale warehouse/distribution operations, ideally in a fast-paced logistics or e-commerce environment.
- Bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and change management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams; excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and distribution best practices; safety-first mindset.
