About the Role The Director of Nursing (DON) is sought for an interim-to-permanent opportunity with Actual HomeCare. This role starts part-time (20–30 hours per week) with a potential transition to full-time hybrid employment, reporting into executive leadership to guide the clinical team through a transitional period and ensure high-quality, compliant client care. What You'll Do
- Clinical Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and provide professional development opportunities for nursing staff and caregivers.
- Compliance & Quality: Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies in line with federal, state, and local regulations; support CHAP survey readiness and documentation (with consultation support).
- Client Care Management: Conduct initial client assessments and re-assessments; ensure all care plans are accurate, comprehensive, and up to date.
- Team Building: Handle interviewing, training, and performance evaluations for caregiving staff.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team and management to align clinical operations with organizational goals.
- Additional duties as needed to support a smooth transition during the interim period. What We're Looking For
- Active NJ RN license.
- 2+ years of home care supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of home care regulations and CHAP.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to one hour.
- Experience with or willingness to learn relevant tools (e.g., SwyftOps CRM, Microsoft Word, Google Docs). Nice to Have
- Proficiency with SwyftOps CRM, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually if full-time, prorated during interim part-time period.
