About the Role Logan Health Cut Bank is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead nursing services across emergency, inpatient, swing bed, surgical, outpatient, and specialty care. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on bedside support to ensure safe care and healthy staff, while partnering with clinical and senior leadership. What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing across multiple care areas, aligning with hospital mission and values.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, CNAs, charge staff, providers, and leaders to build trust, confidence, and high-quality patient care.
  • Influence clinical and cultural direction in a close-knit rural setting, balancing strategic initiatives with bedside support.
  • Lead staff development, quality improvement, staffing models, and regulatory compliance; support staff through change and problem-solving. What We're Looking For
  • Current Montana RN License or multistate compact license; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; minimum five years of nursing leadership experience.
  • RQI Provider (BLS) within seven days of hire; ACLS, PALS within six months; TNCC or ENPC, STABLE, and NRP within 12 months.
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery, health reform, care systems; understanding of critical access and rural healthcare environments ideal.
  • Ability to move between strategic planning, daily operations, and bedside support; kind, calm, and approachable communication; curiosity and genuine care for people.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and coaching skills; desire to learn and help others grow. Nice to Have
  • Experience in rural or small-community hospital settings; familiarity with Cut Bank or Montana rural health landscape is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
  • Shift: Day Shift - 8 hours; includes working flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Attendance at staff reviews, unit staff meetings, quality improvement or clinical case reviews; required education and certification courses.
