Director of Engineering Services

About the Role Auriga Corporation is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering Services to lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering team in Milpitas, CA. The role combines technical leadership, business development, and project delivery for Electric Power, Telecommunication and IT systems, with a focus on building an engineering business of at least $10 million per year.

What You'll Do

• Thorough understanding of business aspects of Engineering Services Company (i.e. Business Development, Contracts Administration and Project Management).
• Provide Technical Leadership to multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Manage Engineering Projects (Scope, Schedule and Budget).
• Review and approve design documents.
• Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Contract negotiations and contracts administration.
• Manage client relationships.
• Must be comfortable working in a worker/seller engineering environment.
• Successfully develop and manage an engineering business of at least $10 Million per year.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred. Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in California is required. 10+ Years of experience in Project Management and/or Technical Leadership.
• Ability to interface with various technical groups and management, including clients, at all levels.
• High energy and motivation; customer-focused; able to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Existing relationships within electric power industry.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; good interpersonal relationships; team player.
