Job title: Director of Costing
About the Role Lead Wolfspeed's cost accounting function and coach the team while aligning with business Finance on annual and quarterly cost targets. Drive the transition of the costing system to SAP and own budgeting, forecasting and cost modeling. Communicate variances, collaborate with operations, and support external audits and process improvements to enhance financial performance.
What You'll Do
- Manage and coach Wolfspeed’s cost accounting team with a focus on development and performance
- Lead the transition of the costing system to SAP, including involvement in system design
- Forecast product costs for annual, quarterly, and monthly budget cycles and build financial models to evaluate business strategies
- Prepare budget versus actual analyses for product costs and factory yields, and communicate variances to factory and business leaders
- Liaise with business Finance partners on annual and quarterly cost targets
- Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects related to product costs, factory output, and financial performance improvements
- Coordinate with external auditors on periodic audit requests
- Monitor the cycle count process and collaborate with Operations on process improvements

- Experience leading a cost accounting team and driving process improvements
- Strong background in SAP transitions/implementation and system design
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for product costs
- Ability to analyze and communicate cost variances to factory and business leaders
- Effective collaboration with Finance partners and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting external audits and internal controls
- Familiarity with cycle count processes and inventory controls
