Director of Business Management
Hesston College seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month faculty position as the Director of Business Management. The director will bring visionary leadership and strategic thinking to the business management program. Candidates should possess an M.B.A. or higher related degree (e.g., J.D., C.P.A., other graduate degree, etc.)
The Opportunity The director of business management reports directly to the vice president of academics and is responsible for shaping and ushering in the next chapter of business education and industry partnership at Hesston College. The successful candidate could start as early as January 2027, but must start by July 2027.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering the college’s degree programs in business, including an experientially-based bachelor’s degree program.
- Recruiting, orienting, leading and evaluating business faculty and staff.
- Teaching at least 12 credit hours per year, up to 24 as needed.
- Meeting with prospective students and alumni.
- Building key industry partnerships in south-central Kansas and communities throughout the U.S. where the college has strong ties.
- Cultivating and supervising student practicum opportunities through industry partners.
- Visioning and strategic planning for the department.
- Establishing and managing a budget.
The Requirements Desired candidate has a master's degree or higher in business or related field, as well as professional experience in both business and higher education settings.
