Director of Building-Related Hazardous Materials

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Director of Building-Related Hazardous Materials to lead and expand our hazardous materials consulting practice throughout New England.

This senior leadership position offers an opportunity to build and grow a practice focused on asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor environmental quality, PCBs, and other regulated building materials.

The Director will oversee technical operations, project management, regulatory compliance, personnel, client relationships, and business development while driving revenue, profitability, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic growth and development of our hazardous materials practice throughout New England.

• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.

• Oversee technical projects involving asbestos, lead, mold, PCBs, and other hazardous building materials.

• Manage project quality, budgets, profitability, staffing, and regulatory compliance.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop environmental professionals and project managers.

• Collaborate with our civil engineering, environmental, and geotechnical practices.

• Establish annual revenue, profitability, and operational objectives.

• Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hazardous building materials, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, or related fields.

• Demonstrated experience managing asbestos, lead, mold, and hazardous materials projects.

• Strong business development, project management, and financial management capabilities.

• Experience leading teams and developing client relationships.

• Relevant professional licenses and certifications preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout New England.
