About the Role Director ITIM Build US West & Canada leads Microsoft's ITIM (IT Infrastructure & Investment Management) Build initiatives for the US West region and Canada within the CO&I EPC organization, delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud. The role combines strategic leadership, program delivery, and people management to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget construction projects. What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the ITIM Build program across US West & Canada, aligning with CO&I EPC objectives and standards.
- Oversee planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of datacenter infrastructure to meet reliability, scalability, and security requirements.
- Build and mentor a high-performing construction and facilities team; manage relationships with internal partners, vendors, and customers.
- Ensure safety, compliance, budget adherence, schedule performance, risk management, quality, and operational readiness across projects.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of EPC construction processes and practices.
- Travel less than 25% as required. What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in construction project management, preferably in the datacenter or IT infrastructure sector.
- Strong program management, budgeting, and vendor management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams; effective people management and mentorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel less than 25%.
