About the Role Join AbbVie's International Pricing organization to shape pricing strategy for pipeline and on-market assets, translating asset value into optimal pricing and contracting guidance and developing sustainable access models. This leadership role coordinates governance and cross-functional collaboration to drive value across global markets. What You'll Do
- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and management of the global pricing governance process with compliant data handling.
- Coordinate pricing governance reviews across Therapeutic Area and prepare materials for International or Executive Pricing Council.
- Undertake rapid, confidential assessments of International markets’ price potential to inform long-term revenue analysis and asset valuation for external acquisitions.
- Drive timely development of pricing guidance for financial processes (LRP, Plan) and analyze price variances across the portfolio.
- Support International Reference Pricing analyses and cross-country/region impact analyses; conduct launch sequence optimization and scenario planning.
- Ensure rollout of Integrated Access Strategy pricing guidance with communication and training.
- Act as internal Subject Matter Expert on pricing and analytics; provide training as needed.
- Lead and develop a high-performing International Pricing team; recruit, coach, and develop talent; engage with SVP INTL and CCO.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders across iMAP, Asset Leadership, IMCO, PCS, Affiliate and Area Market Access, and Finance; monitor projects and allocate resources to meet deadlines. What We're Looking For
- MSc or MPhil (required) or PhD (preferred) in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Health Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics or other related quantitative field; 10+ years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical pricing, access, and health economics.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders; familiarity with pricing, access, and market access dynamics.
- Experience interacting with P&R agencies and knowledge of key markets (EU5, Canada, Japan, US) is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Health Technology Appraisal and payer valuation principles; ability to translate data into payer value propositions.
- Expertise in designing or implementing global pricing strategies and integrated market access strategies; ability to communicate value drivers and financial impact of pricing initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills to synthesize large data sets, identify risks, and propose actionable solutions.
- Excellent English communication; adept at presenting to senior leadership; able to manage workload and deadlines; strong critical thinking and problem-solving. Nice to Have
- Additional preference for HTA experience, payer communications, and understanding of data management and reporting platforms.
